Review: Morning Routine
Updated: Apr 17, 2020
So, today I'm going to share my morning skincare routine; in the last 3 months or so I've been really invested in taking care of my skin, instead of focusing on makeup. I noticed that I was experiencing a lot of breakouts because I didn't invest enough on my skincare and was too focused on covering them up. Anyways, without further ado, here they are! The steps are as follows:
My first thought when I tried this face serum is that I love the texture. It feels nice and cooling on the skin, and while the smell isn't the greatest, that's what I've been told about Drunk Elephant products. I put a small circle on my finger and start applying in on my skin. It felt smooth and it didn't feel sticky afterwards. After using it for about 2 months, I definitely noticed my skin has improved and feels more hydrated.
I'm going to be honest here, it's not my favourite. The texture is too liquidy for me, the smell is a bit too strong, but I do have to acknowledge the effects on my skin. It feels cool on my skin, but the texture and the smell is, unfortunately, a dealbreaker for me.
Clinique - Dramatically Different Oil-Control Gel with Clinique iD™: Moisturizer + Concentrate for Pores & Uneven Texture
I've used Clinique since I was a teenager, and this never disappoints. I love the feel of it on my skin, the smell is great, and I'm satisfied with the results. Although, I've been told recently that because my skin is oily, there's a chance it's actually dehydrated. So once this is done, I'm going to switch to the dry-oily combination instead of the oily-oily combination, to stop my skin for being even more oily!
Big yes for this product. I've always been obsessed with Laneige's skincare line, and it never lets me down. Smells great, feels great, and excellent results. My pores definitely look smaller, but my skin isn't drying up and it helps me moisturize it! Guaranteed, I will buy a second bottle when my first one runs out.
