Hello 2020

It's 8.52AM and just like everyone else in the world, I am excited for 2020. Not only because it's a new year with hopes, ambitions, and goals, it's a fresh new decade. I admit that in the past five or six years, I was that person who had the string of unattainable goals; travel to countries x, lose x kg by this month, sign up for new gym membership, eat clean all year, etc. Unfortunately, like most people, I would become discouraged by as early as end of February.


Therefore, this year I decided to keep working on the goals I (sort of) started in 2019, and I want to keep them as long-term and simple as possible.


  1. Be kind - I have been trying my hardest for the second half of 2019 to understand myself better, and to be more understanding towards myself. It's easy for me to be kind to others, why can't I do the same for me? I hope in 2020, I can be kinder to others, and most importantly, myself.

  2. Get on the saving train - in my early 20's, I was too excited about making money, I was all about the deals and the shopping life. As I walk towards the end of my 20's, I need to smarten up and try my hardest to save money. A little bit after every pay-check goes a long way!

  3. Eat better, sleep better - I'm not going into diets anymore this year. Every day is a decision, every meal and every snack is a step closer to eating better. I didn't set a new target weight and fat percentage anymore, I will listen to what my body wants and try my best to nourish healthily. Also, less chillin' and more sleepin'.


There. Three goals are not so hard to achieve, right? I didn't want to have a long list, I think these three are enough to keep me busy in 2020. Cheers to an amazing year for all of us!
